Lujiazui is an important financial district in Pudong, Shanghai, opposite to The Bund across Huangpu River. It was established in the 1990s, and in 2005 the State Council reaffirmed the positioning of the 31.78 square kilometers of Lujiazui area as the only finance and trade zone among the 185 state-level development zones in China.
Currently, there are about 100 commercial buildings and over 500 domestic and overseas financial corporations located in Lujiazui. The night view of Lujiazui is unusually beautiful.
